Gernot has received a commission from Chamber Music Palisades to write a piece for piano quartet (violin, viola, violoncello and piano). The composition – METAMORPHOSIS – will be premiered on Tuesday, October 23, 8:00 pm at St. Matthews Parrish, 1031 Bienveneda Ave., Pacific Palisades, CA. The musicians will be violinist Ida Levin, violist Evan Wilson (principal, Los Angeles Philharmonic), cellist Wilhelmina Smith (Mannes Trio) and pianist Delores Stevens.
