Pianist Nic Gerpe will perform the MAKROSMOS 50 PROJECT at a concert of the Golden Thread series by the Resonance Collective. The program of this event at the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles will include George Crumb’s Makrokosmos, as well as newly commissioned works by Juhi Bansal, Viet Cuong, Eric Guinivan, Julie Herndon, Vera Ivanova, Gilda Lyons, Alex Miller, Fernanda Aoki Navarro, Thomas Osborne, Timothy Peterson, and Gernot Wolfgang. Each of the new pieces is inspired by one of the movements of Crumb’s masterful composition.
