The Los Angeles based chamber music series Pacific Serenades has commissioned Gernot to write the septet IMPRESSIONS for the following musicians: Helen Goode-Castro – cl, Judith Farmer – bsn, Brian O’Connor – horn, Roger Wilkie – vln, David Walther – vla, David Speltz – vc and Bruce Morgenthaler – cb. The performances are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2002, 8:00 pm at the home of Mary Anderson in Brentwood, Sunday, May 12, 2002, 4:00 pm at The Neighborhood Church in Pasadena, CA and Tuesday, May 21, 8:00 pm at The UCLA Faculty Center, Los Angeles.
